Bangkok, known in Thai as Krung Thep Maha Nakhon or Krung Thep for short, is the capital and primate city of Thailand. It is located on both sides of the Chao Phraya River. The most important business districts of Bangkok include Silom, Bangrak, Pinklao, Sathon, Phra Ram 2, Petchaburi, Phra Nakhon, Pathumwan, Chatuchak and Phra Ram 3 (New Financial Centre).
